Onshore tanks can be heated, filtered and lit. A cage cannot pretend. Current, oxygen and temperature are the Gulf’s. The work is to stock at a density the water will carry, to feed slowly, and to look — a diver, a slow fish, a reading — every day.
Design capacity of AQUAFAQ’s cages is 20,000 tonnes, matched to processing on the same island. Juveniles are meant to come from the Dalma hatchery, not from a crate at the harbour. That is grow-out in public language: the long middle between a fingerling and ice.
